“LAND OF GOOD”
MULTIMEDIA AND VIDEO WORKS OF VIKA KOVA
AND DRAWINGS OF ARIADNA SHMANDUROVA
ABOUT THE PROJECT:
LAND OF GOOD is a social art project / multimedia journey in search of an alternative gender-symmetrical societal model (through video, multimedia, installations, performances and Virtual Reality), initiated by Vika Kova.
LAND OF GOOD aims to bring more awareness about the relationship between men and women, masculine and feminine and ultimately to find more balance between between the two.
LAND OF GOOD introduces a free and safe virtual space that would lead to the development of a gender-symmetrical society, by means of the educational power of Art.
We strongly believe that Art is one of the last realms of potentiality and trust, where viewers can release their accumulated emotions, coming from unfulfilled promises made by political, religious and economical institutions.
LAND OF GOODis the perfect platform for reconsideration of the existing notions through the experience of an alternative NEW WORLD ORDER REALITY.
ABOUT THE ARTWORK:
Kova’s video&audio work “The CrossOvers” takes the viewer instantly on a multimedia journey in gender asymmetry, its consequences and original solutions.
Right on the spot, this video/audio spectacle of 8.12 min engages the viewer to re-look and re-define the morals and the values of our world.
Inspired by the quantum mechanics theory of multitude realities, the artist creates a imaginary world, found in a parallel reality, governed by women – a female-driven society – and is the opposite of our male-driven world.
Kova imagines that this parallel reality crosses the ours, for the sake of information exchange.
She “sets up the meeting” between the representatives of the two worlds in order to exploit and broadcast the values of both societies.
These “meetings” find place on different, unexpected locations –
the artist invades the space for to make the crossover – the “meeting point” between the two realities – possible.
